Join Lindsay Longo, LCSW and Gordon Wilson from IAFF HQ on a webinar exploring research on healthy relationships, discussing complications of relationships within the fire service and providing practical skills for effective communication and emotional regulation in relationships for first responders, their partners and family. Topics discussed include guiding conversations around work, sharing household tasks and mental load, dispelling relationship myths and deepening emotional connection.

Lindsay Longo, LCSW

Behavioral Health Specialist, IAFF HQ
Lindsay Longo is a Behavioral Health Specialist at IAFF headquarters. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the fire service. Previous to her appointment to the IAFF, Lindsay owned her own private practice specializing in first responders, trauma and neurodivergence. Lindsay was a firefighter with IAFF Local 1311 for 11 years. While in the fire service, Lindsay desired to help her fellow first responders in a different way and pursued her dream of becoming a therapist.

Gordon Wilson

Behavioral Health Specialist, IAFF HQ
Gordon Wilson is a Behavioral Health Specialist at the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) in Washington, DC. Gordon is a member of Nashua Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 789 and served his community as a fire fighter for 29 years. Prior to transitioning to the IAFF HQ, Gordon was the coordinator of the Professional Fire Fighters of New Hampshire Peer Support Program from 2017 – 2022. Gordon has been married for 30 years, has two daughters, and resides in Arlington, VA.

Hannah Elmore, MSW

Sr. Clinical Outreach Coordinator
Hannah Elmore is the Clinical Outreach Coordinator for the IAFF Center of Excellence through Advanced Recovery Systems. Hannah works with first responders through connection to behavioral health resources, providing education, and offering support. Hannah educates on behavioral health topics pertaining to the fire service and first responder communities to departments, peer teams, families and clinicians. Hannah is certified in IAFF Peer Support.
