Estimated watch time: 1 hr 50 minutes
Behavioral health in the fire service is an issue that has emerged rapidly in the last 10 years— but after awareness, what comes next?
In this webinar, the IAFF Center of Excellence team will discuss building a collaborative behavioral health program with the help and support of both labor and management. Oxnard, California Fire Chief Alexander Hamilton and Garland, TX Fire Fighters Association President Bill Crews will provide insight on their experiences prioritizing behavioral health within their agencies, creating peer teams, building resources and working collaboratively between labor and management to enhance services for members and employees.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers in an effort to further improve joint efforts within their own agencies.
Molly Jones, LSW is the Clinical Outreach Coordinator at the International Association of Fire Fighters Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery.
