This webinar will take a comprehensive look at occupational trauma in the fire service and is intended for fire service professionals. Mental health clinicians who seek a deeper understanding of fire service culture and its clinical implications will benefit as well. Topics will cover data on PTS, PTSD, and related behavioral health problems in the fire service, unique aspects of trauma among fire service personnel, the role of peer support in addressing trauma, evidence based treatment for PTSD, and how PTSD is treated at the IAFF Center of Excellence. An update of PTSD presumptive legislation and relevant IAFF behavioral health resources and programming will also be provided.
